Microsoft sure as hell made Xboxes after the 2004 holiday season. To suggest even for a second that they didn't make any consoles for an entire year is absolutely ludicrous.

The 2004 holiday season was the three-year mark for the Xbox. There were around 17 million Xboxes sold when Halo 2 launched in November of 2004, so that's a little less than 6 million per year.

The above chart is 150 weeks from launch or a bit more than 3 years. As you can clearly see, there were around 17 million Xboxes sold which again is slightly under 6 million/year.

Then there's this chart.

That chart goes for 210 week from launch, which is slightly more than four years, or again, around 6 million/year.

 

 

 

 

Why put up a chart when I never discounted the sales, all I said was that I thought the xbox stop making consoles a holiday 2004, and even if you are right it is still not 5 years like that other person said, also none of what you said discounts the possibility that given one more year xbox could have sold 9 million.
