It had been rumored that the game was canceled, but the game obviously is in a playable state, since a playable demo will be available for up to 60 players in Tokyo's Akihabara on May 20th, 2009.
The original Grandia for the PlayStation will also be available on PlayStation Network as a way to commemorate the event.
