lol, how can you possibly think this... .did Microsoft quit after their failure that was the Xbox? Why would Sony quit with a console that did better.

The Xbox wasn't a failure..... technology-wise when it was far more superior in power to the PS2. In addition, it came in second place. What made the Xbox suck was the lack of games. It's not Microsoft's fault Sony acquired 90% of third parties on their side during Microsofts first go. Microsoft made them eat it this gen by taking the most popular 3rd party games on their system. If Microsoft can pump out some good first and second party this gen while keeping third party coming in, they will have a very good fanbase for next gen.

he didnt say it wont have a good fan base next gen, or that it doesnt this gen, he said xbox was a failure  and he's right it kinda was

The Xbox didn't fail, Microsoft killed it off to put all their efforts into the 360, if microsoft would have kept up support for xbox for at least one more year, the xbox probably would have sold around 35 million, which is around N64 numbers and I don't think anyone can call Nintendo 64 a failure, it was a successful system that made profit for nintendo, Microsoft was loosing too much money on every xbox sold because of the contracts they had with Nvidia for the GPU, thats why with 360 microsoft switched to ATI for their GPU.
