Of course these are preliminary numbers, but the 1918 flu which killed 20 million people had a death rate of just 2.5%. And yeah, all the deaths are in Mexico, but it's not like Mexico is a third world country with extremely bad health care.

I'm tending to believe that this isn't just another inconsequential scary story. Stay away from coughing people, wash your hands often and if you're sick try not to spread the disease by going out more than absolutely necessary.

 


I duno... to my knowledge there healthcare system isn't that good.  Then again it may just be due to them having a huge Aids epidemic as well as having a bunch of isolated areas far away from health care.
