Because not all of us play games based on how well they sell or what our friends think of them.
And I'm not aware of 'early' Cel Shaded games doing bad compared to the rest. Some early Cel Shaded games were such as Cel Damage, Fear Effect, Feer Effect 2, Monster Rancer 3, Sheep Dog 'n' Wolf, Sonic Shuffle and Tokimeki Memorial. All of those were between the years 2000 and 2001. Many of them don't even have sales records.
