Although I really want you to enjoy the ps3 experience, I really don't want you to be disappointed if it breaks. That would be worst case scenario.
Try importing in territories with different currencies, they tend to have very different prices. Hold off on ps2 until you get the money, you can order ff13 demo from japan, and get mgs4 online for cheap. Don't feel the need to get everything at once.
