To those who believe Hell is a just punishment: do you disagree with the concept of cruel and unusual punishment?
I mean, I'm not even bothered about my religious beliefs because if there is a God that will burn me and others alive for an eternity, I can't worship such as a God (nor can I lie, since it's omniscient and will be able to tell) anyway.
How can you have an infinite punishment, for a finite transgression? I think that even Hitler, shouldn't be burned (at all, really) for eternity, but that there needs to be a limit.
I'll at least sorta... sympathize (right word?) with the concept of Purgatory, but the concept of a merciful and Omnibenevolent god just burning people for sometimes ridiculous reasons is just awful.
