a lot of dismissive, poor thinkers on the boards here.
when i think of what defines the "best machine". i think one has to consider what defines the value. for me it is several things: price, functionality, quality, and games. back in the days of the nintendo/sega wars it was not a true battle...as i did not know anyone who had a sega (before the genesis). the sega may have been the better machine.
this war is different. the player has more choice than ever before. despite its gimmickyness, one would have to say the wii is the best system, as its price is very alluring, its functionality is unique, and its games are simple but stupid fun.
with respect to the ps3 and 360, i would have to give the edge in functionality, quality, and games to the ps3. it does way more, it does it better (which games are finally beginning to show), and it is way more reliable. price clearly goes to the 360, but that is inevitable.
and what cracks me up about this whole thing, the writing was all on the wall at jump that sony was in this for the long haul and would surpass the potential of the 360. now what we see is the frustration of its fans due to the fact that price cuts are the only thing keeping it competitive.
ps3 fans have had to eat humble pie for almost three years, and people wonder why we bring this up so much. get your forks ready xbots...dinner is almost served.
art is the excrement of culture
