Isn't there a lot of issues with the PS3 and the unreal engine?
Why would Epic incur the added costs of making a game using an engine that doesn't have a great history with a console that has a lower userbase?
I don't think it'll be downgraded, but I think it'd cost Epic A LOT more to get it upto scratch without having a much bigger benefit to them. Especially given that MS probably locked down an exclusivity deal worth a pretty penny, the sales on the PS3 version wouldn't even come close to the MS deal + time wasted with developing a PS3 version.
As fanboyish as you sound, I agree Uncharted 2 looks better than Uncharted 1 (Not a massive leap, because U1 was so great as is, but definitely better. Slightly less than the jump between gears 1 and gears 2).
Anyway, I don't see Gears 3 coming to the PS3. I'd love to have it on the platform, because the PS3 does need sale-wise blockbusters (No, uncharted 2 won't do it. God of War 3 won't do it. GT5 will do it), plus the series is great as well.
