because its a society that promotes masculinity and that you have to feel/be/act older than your age as smth important lol everything that resembles cartoon is either gay or for children. yeah right lol. they forget that consoles are all toys in the end and it doesnt matter if you shoot someone in halo or playing a cell shaded zelda game in the end you just having fun! people are so diluted.. all the greatest games of the 80s were like cartoons and noone had a problem now everyone wants to play a game that look more and more badass so that will make them feel something that they will never be lol! some people even feel insulted only by playing a "cute" cell shaded game lol they have serious psychological problems so considering all that companies will never invest in such art-style except if there are older or younger audiences like people that dont care for such things. did u ever listen an old person bashing a game because its artstyle? (someone older than 35) No because they dont need to prove anything to themselves or to others. they just play.
