I've found that surprises, megatons, huge revelations, are what win E3. If Sony just drops God of War 3 and Gran Turismo 5, yeah, they're great games, yeah, they'll generate hype, but we all knew about these games already, and people will be bored (the game journalists in general will be bored, thus generating ho-hum attitudes. Not saying its right for them to do that, but that's what they'll do)

This is why i say that Nintendo and Microsoft are better poised, since they've been strangely quiet about their 2nd-half release schedules, and thus have more surprises to unveil at E3.

As for Japan, Wii Sports Resort and Monster Hunter 3 will probably drop in the same month, and Wii will explode through the summer. I do agree that Fall could be rather close, between the possibility of Final Fantasy XIII and the possibility of Gran Turismo 5, set against whatever Nintendo has in stock, and alongside what 3rd parties are cooking up for Wii in Japan, but Monster Hunter 3 and Wii Sports Resort are going to put Wii back in the driver's seat all summer long

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
