Doubtful, the Ps2 had reliability issues (although I don't believe quite as extensively as the 360) yet it still sold insanely well, and when they broke, it only resulted in additional Ps2 sales due to the stellar library, right now the 360 has the best current gen library, and the pattern will continue unless a competing console can equal or surpass it in # of games and quality.
Hopefully the 65nm chips are much better.
