I know what you are saying and to some extent you are right. I love how much the HD fanboys suffer because of the Wii's success. It's the only thing more entertaining than playing with my Wii. Some HD fanboys are hilarious.

But that's because some people chose to be stuck with their machine of choice. Instead of saving for six months or a year to get a second system, they keep on buying games. That makes them one-only-console owner and to justify their decisions they try to make it look like a rational decision, but it is not. It is just that they can't stop playing games. And the more games they buy, the farther they are from the chance to get themselves a second system. That behaviour makes them fanboys.

Nowadays, however, you can easy find the multiplattaform gamer. If you are addicted enough to games, no matter where they come from, and you have the money, now it is ok to buy all of them. And keep them. You can have your favorite system, but having the three may make you more objective.

In a few words the "best" console is the one (or the those) you choose, but that is true only for you.
