@ gergroy:
what logic do you speak of exactly? You said Halo 3 is where it is on a 30mill user base right? But when Halo 3 released, the 360 was NO WHERE NEAR that. Now you're trying to tell me that GT5, since we're using your user base argument (and by the time GT5 releases, the PS3 should be at at least 30mill WW), can't do 8-9mill on a 30mill user base but Halo 3 can? Yea, that kind of logic doesn't work, you're right.

Well, considering Halo 3 has more hype, and a much larger fanbase among 360 owners than GT does in the PS3 camp. I would say your argument is flawed. The fact that Halo 3 was not bundled and still sold like crazy on opening day with a smaller install base should tell you something, people love FPS and the 360 is the best machine for them. If GT5 is not bundled it will not sell as well. The only people picking up copies are those who like driving games, and that number is dwindling. You must remeber that GT5 proluge is a stripped down version of GT5, but many who bought the glorified demo will not feel the need to buy the full version. Halo 3 is a completely different animal and somewhat of a phenominon in terms of first day sales. Over the lifetime I think Halo3 will still outsell GT5 because of marketing, awareness, and word of mouth.
