people just make their own facts up on here...

TRUE FACT: This year is THE best year for the 360 in Japan, by a bucket load.

TRUE FACT: This year is THE best year for the PS3 in Japan, by a small amount.

PS3 is up YoY 70k, while X360 is up YoY 108k. Could 38k be considered the difference between "small amount" and "bucket load"? mmmm I don't think so.

Being a tad economical with the truth there arent you...

PS3 is up 19% on 2008 and only 10% on 2007 - ie a small amount

360 is up 192% on 2008 and 82% on 2007 - ie a bucket load

no?

I'd argue that you're also ignoring a teensy bit that the 360 percentage only looks so big due to how low the initial numbers for the console were in Japan.

Percentages can be deceptive too when used for comparison if the underlying numbers are in very different ranges.

Personally, I'd say its more or less even-stevens for both.  360 has at least got a foothold and has shown some okay spikes while PS3 has recovered from a slow start and shown some promise.  Neither is anything to write home about yet in Japan.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
