Will God of War III come out in '09?

God of War III will be more popular than Uncharted 2, MAG, and Heavy Rain. Sony wants to have a monster holiday season and move as much hardware as possible. I think they will go ALL OUT with GoW3, with the already announced Collectors Edition, as well as a possible bundle too. GoW3 Ps3 bundle with the Omega symbol engraved on the console. I believe they did something similar with MGS4 in Europe.


God of War III is the biggest 1st party exclusive they have on the horizon, after GT5 ofcourse. Why WOULDNT they put it out during the holiday season? If anything, they should push back Heavy Rain.... a game that looks nice but will lack mass appeal and sales. That game will definately get lost in the shuffle if it comes out during holiday season.

Cause it isn't finished by then?

 

 

How would YOU or anyone else know how far along they are in development? We've seen demos and trailers so it's not like the Team ICO project, which has shown nothing so far.
