None of the big three have incentive to release a successor anytime soon, especially with the recession, so I don't understand how people can think that Sony isn't serious about the ten year plan. 360 still hasn't peaked and MS still hasn't made money over all on the Xbox business so they aren't going to release anything in the next two years. Nintendo is selling insane amounts of Wiis and their next system won't be significantly more powerful than the PS3 even if they do release a new system in the next two years. There is nothing to force their hand on the horizon, and if they don't release PS4 until 2013 then the PS3 could easily remain viable for another three years.
