Without the British Empire America as it is today wouldn't exist. No disrespect to Americans meant at all. But Britain itself has had more influence on the world. And other cultures have had more influence then Britain has, like Ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and I'm sure many others.
But its all interrelated, what I find interesting is how different countries interact and how that created the world we live in today.
