But but but...ffvii remake and kh3 are coming to the Ps3 exclusively!!

::rocks in fetal position crying::

Well at least the FF7 re-release is a PS3 exclusive?  PSN title as it may be.

Isn't that more because Sony has publishing rights?

Not really, FF7 is mainly associated with Sony anyways. Plus the game was originally on the PS1, they don't bring PS1 games to Wii/360...

Do you think SCEA/SCEE will alow SE to release PS1 FFVII on the 360/Wii

Nope :3 I don't think SE really would want to either.

Why? Because they're afraid MS will do something? What can MS possibly do? It's only in MS's interest in getting JRPGs on their consoles, and in fact, SE should be the one who should be in control, and pushing MS around, they have the leverage, the games that make a system.

FFVII on US/EU PSN can only help them make an easy buck, which they can always use. It doesn't make any sense businesswise. Again, this isn't a fanboy thread, FFXIII on multiplatform makes perfect sense business wise. We're trying to analyze and if possible, rationalize the actions SE is taking right now.

I think they're more afraid of FF7 fanboys turning on them if they go multi-plat with it.  I mean if they lose that group nobody will buy their FF7 spinoffs.

I think you're over estimating the number and frevor of Sony fanboys. Hell, I even swore when I heard the FFXIII news on E3 (the MS guy couldn't of looked any more like an smug asshole with that Tom Cruise smile =/ ), but I'm over it now, and I'm going to buy SE games if they're quality.

I'm sure that after XIII, nothing can really surprise and upset Sony fanboys anymore.

I don't know.  I mean FF7 has to be the definitive playstation game as far as the sytem goes.  To lose exclusivity for the game that was at the start of "Playstation dominance" would be quite the blow.

Heck, the blogs and games websites i bet would have a field day of negative press.  Calling it the deathknell of the playstation family and stuff.  Too poetic to not pass up.

And who would everyone blame?
