Think of the benefits:
- MGS5 will not be 100 hours of cutscenes with 12 hours of gameplay. Kojima simply cannot fit it on a DVD-9 disc. - fuck yeah, good thing
- Next time you go to purchase a movie, you'll be able to pay for it with a twenty-dollar bill! (And, you'll be able to purchase any movie you want, not just ones available on BR.)
- Reduced load times - we all know this is not BluRay's strong point. - good point again
- Price cut! - who doesn't like that
- Exercise - You'll have to actually get up and swap discs for multi-DVD games! It's the healthy alternative. - not really a big deal, considering you have to do this with 1-2 games thus far

I think you are on to something...other good things I can think about.
-Sony, who was a year late, would have actually had to spend time making themselves better than 360 at lauch, rather than jsut say "it has bluray, buy it!"
-HD-DVD would have won the HD war. Superior players and a more versitile format despite slightly less space...

HD-DVD was the worse format. It's good that blu ray won.
On another note .. Hell no ! why would i want to downgrade my ps triple. It's awesome the way it is now.
