@Derek: only two of your points can qualify as sarcasm really, with the last one (multiple discs) actually having been listed as a prefer "collector's" preference on this site.
As for the reading speed it's close, but common opinion is still quite often that the PS3 BR drive is way slower.
And to the topic, if that were an actual question, no.
Simply because I like JRPGs and hope that the extra GBs will give publishers incensive to keep the original language option.
Plus I like how durable BR discs are.
