Seriously, none of us were alive back then and we have almost nothing to do with the history (besides the fact that we might be related to someone who was important) so why are we arguing like this? I can understand feeling proud of what your country's history has done, but I think it's getting a little crazy here. I'm betting most of us don't even have our family's history all within the country we live in today. Is the need to feel superior and important really this big that we have to grasp at things we weren't even a part of and try to make us seem better by pretending we are a part of it? |
