G-Value, does Soriku know your taking his job as Ace JRPG Reporter?  Anyway thanks for the info. The battle system will most likely be the deciding factor for me on this game. If its good, I'll buy it. If not, I'll pass.

Lol. Nah i'm just really excited about Magna Carta 2. Magna Carta 1 had a horrible combat system but the storyline was amazing with some of the best plot twists i have seen in a JRPG on the PS2. Knowing that the combat system is completely different gives me hope that Magna Carta 2 (with the same person who wrote Magna Carta 1's story) could be the JRPG we all been waiting for (other then Tales of Vesperia and Valkyria Chronicles). Also i'm loving the graphics and art style for Magna Carta 2 as well as the music.

Me too.  I have some worries with the story though.  According to 1UP, the story seems to be very standard fare from what they know about it.  Then again, I'm sure people had the same worry with ToV's story.  I might just be paranoid.

Well if you go to sites like Gamezone, RPG Fan and ZTGameDomain they all praise Magna Carta 1's storyline.

I already know that many sites praised the original game's story.  It's MCII's story I'm worried about.

But Magna Carta 2's storyline is being made by the same person who wrote Magna Carta 1's storyline? I wouldn't worry to much. Just hope that the voice acters are better for MCII then it was for MCI. Namco is publishing Magna Carta 2 this time so the voice work should be great (look at ToV's voice acting).
