I'd rather be blind. I've spent all my life with a high degree of Miopia, and it affects me in such a manner that i cannot read anything if i don't have glasses. Also i have a genetic condition that makes a progressive eye nerve degeneration, so in an advanced age, i can really lose my sight.
That said, while we depend mostly on sight to do most things in life, losing the ability to hear all the sounds around is more horrifying to me. I rather lose the ability to see all the video games that i play, than to lose the ability to hear "I love you".

Would you rather be entombed under a pile of rubble or walk over a pit of fire?
