You do know that the average PC Bus is less than 15-18GB/s and runs at 32bit? Only with technologies like HyperTransport and the like are you getting up to 20GB/s.


I know. The problem is that those 128-bit are applied to the VRAM too, and the likely cause for the problem here is too much textures... and anyone just thinking about playing UT3 on PC has a videocard with at least 256-bit wide bus. And I won't mention the GeForce 8800 or the Radeon 2900...

@Kozz: If I remember correctly, the XDR on the Cell is 8-bit, so at 3.2Ghz that gives us around 25GB/s. Xbox 360's is at around 21GB/s if I remember correctly.
