They invented compact discs and submarines and they discovered sperm cells and the rings of Saturn.  And a bunch of other awesome and important stuff.  They also had the first multinational company and the first modern stock exchange and really helped jumpstart capitalism a few centuries ago.  It took me a few clicks on Google and Wiki to learn about their contributions to science and history, but I guess insulting them would have saved me a few seconds and been more fun.

@nojustno, is this really the first question on Dutch driving tests?  I'm dying to know.
