Agree, but the CW isn't ending 2010. More like 2012-13. 2010 is too early. It's not lastinh 3-4 years >_>

You mis-understand what I was saying, I know the current gen will still be going beyond 2010 but the result will be a formailty by that time. All of the big guns will have hit. So if the PS3/360 are still fighting at that time, it will be a meaningless distant 2nd battle where the result bears little meaning.

The test for the PS3 comes when FFXIII hits Japan. Japan's reception of the game will be critical to how they play and react towards the PS3, imo. Versus XIII will gain it's install base for XIII, it will never move consoles on it's own and therefore bears no influence on the actual battle at all.

Again though, all this does is futher prove that Sony needs a major game for each region as a 1st party. They have GT for Europe, now they need something for US and Japan. Killzone 2 succeeding is VERY important to Sony, more important then any other game. They need this game to be a hit in the US, they need to whore it out to everyone, ensure that the entire world knows how big this game will be. It's the marketing hype that is selling the PSP in Japan at the moment and it will be the market hype that will sell Killzone 2. Deliver a great game, market and the PS3 will get a big boost in sales and have a stable 1st party game.

That is the direction Sony needs to go. 3rd parties is not the way, dead money and not a long term winner.
