I don't know either, but apparently

according to the auction here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220153729983&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D220153729983%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1

"The ultimate Halo 3 package Included in this package is the ONLY Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 console that has been personally signed by Bill Gates, the ONLY Limited Edition Halo 3 Zune 30 GB media player personally signed by J Allard, The entire Halo Trilogy: two copies of Halo 3 (Legendary Edition and Standard Edition) and Halo Triple Pack for original Xbox (Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 2 Mulitplayer Map Pack), HD DVD player, a rare special aluminum storage case with over $400 worth of accessories, two Limited Edition Halo 3 wireless controllers with an exclusive Todd McFarlane Collectable Figurine, Messenger Kit, HDMI AV cable, extra 120 GB hard drive and a Halo 3 t-shirt"

is worth about $8,600

I can't tell if this is for real or not.

I would like to think that it is real, since Micrsoft wouldn't be happy if something like this sold without thier approval(I assume). Although the signature looks like anyone could have written it without much difficulty. Unfortunatly I don't know what Bill Gates' signature looks like.

Another thing going against it is that the starting price is ONE PENNY. I just find it hard to believe that something like this would start at the sum total of $.01 even if it's almost guarunteed to go up in price.

Note: According to the seller, the money is going to benifit the Boys and Girls Club, so they will not get any money....ACCORDING TO THE SELLER

I think that that is all of the significant information.

Edit: Sorry if there is another thread about this, or if it is already old.
