Two Wiis on the market? Certainly I wouldn't have wanted this.

But all things equal, if Nintendo produced an equivalent to the PS3 I would have bought that instead of a Sony Wii.

I don't think the Wii (according to Nielsen, typically 6-11 year olds) and PS3 (typically 25 to 34 year olds) compete that much. I belong to the latter age group, so naturally this better suits my interests in terms of community, games development as well as specifications.

A Playstation Wii would compete directly with a Nintendo Wii, it would practically half the sales potential for both products and low specs, fewer features and a lack of hardcore games would leave people like me without a product truly of interest to us.
