I think the counter-argument is that people get offended about minor things that don't really matter and inconvenience everyone else because they're being so difficult about it.
@NoJustNo: She does not want to ban gay marriage. She disapproves of it personally, but thinks others should have the right to choose. Try to use a little reading comprehension, please. It is possible to disapprove of something but not think everyone should not be allowed to do/use it at the same time.
