Why doesnt rockstar or other sandbox game developers put the perspective in first person instead of in third person.

The driving could be played like any driving game in the driver seat cam.

The shooting could be played like any other fps game.

The fist-fighting could be played like the condemned series.

 

 

Obviously the J man isnt saying to out right copy these genres/games but to use them as templates for what to do to flesh out the gameplay.

 If they at least keep the controls solid and the gameplay fun  with the usual gta freedom , this game would be the greatest ever.

 

 

After all of these years, do you seriously expect people to get use to GTA in 1st person? imagine how hard/confusing it would be if you were in auto aiming switching from one person to another? GTA in 3rd person is fine

 

and the combat from condemned was good but not that good. So let's pray to god that Rockstar doesn't use that type of combat system

The driving seat cam sounds cool though

None of gta gameplay mechanics individually arent any good , but they are competent and they work. Something like condemned's system would actually be an upgrade and adding the ability to use the enviroment as a weapon is icing on the cake.
