I just had to address this outside of probably one scene which happens towards of Act IV MGS4 relies strictly on In-Game graphics for its cutscenes. I agree that its so beautiful that you may be mistaken but its all in-game no CGI whatsoever.
OT: MGS4 but Gears 2 is a close second. But MGS4 has so many things going for it and I think Act III is a great example of when the game is at it's best graphically.
