The effects of Past racism linger on today but that does not make todays problems due to current racism.

Yes they do! Everything stems from slavery, everything!

By trying to make up for it with restitution you only prolong the problems of today.

Who the **** told you that?! Your opinion is that we should say to black people, "oops", and then continue to be biased towards them?!?

Affirmitive Action does hurt education... but not the point I was making.  The point I was making was that the problems African Americans suffer has nothing to do with present racial differences and everything to do with current economic and cultural differnces.

Those cultural and economic differences come from slavery! What is your deal!??

Lets say your family and my family are having a competition to see who could make the  most sand castles.

So... our grandparents start the competion.

Your Grandparents have a shovel and bucket.

It's illegal for my grandparents to have a shovel and bucket....  Your Grandpa gets a big lead.

Our Fathers start... my Father is now allowed to own a bucket.  No shovel though.  He goes and buys it.  Your father takes advantage.

Now we go.  We're both equal at this point in tools.  You have a huge head start in sandcastles.

My problems with your lead has nothing to do with current racism.

First of all, why the fuck is your family the black one!? You clearly have no comprehension of being at a disadvantage. Because if you did you would not be making any of the points that you are.

Second, I will entertain this ridiculous scenario just to get this through to you:

We would not be equal, because your family would not have had the experience or skill with building sand castles that I have already obtained lol.

Now, if you managed to build a sand castle to rival mine, even with your setbacks, we should, in all fairness, get a professional judge (AA) to see who is more ready to build sandcastles for a living.

My GF (who is black), is sitting right next to me and laughing so much. She says "thank you Kazs216, I can see now that racism is my fault".
