I sense a lack of information here. How did it escalate from "no you can't search my car" to getting beaten and tazed?

1. Stand up for fourth amendment rights
2.??????
3.Get Beaten and tazed
4.PROFIT

Something is missing there. I'm not saying that they couldn't have just beaten and tazed him for the hell of it, but the story is short on info. Could be a very misleading piece in order to manipulate the readers views. That's not uncommon.

Both situations arn't uncommon.

"Victims" that hide what they did to make an officer beat them, and officers that beat victims just because they want to.

None of those should be surprising anymore.

Oh, I agree, neither is uncommon. But the story itself doesn't help anyone decipher which this is. It conveniently leaves out what took place between him exiting his car and him having been tazed and beaten. It only says "he was arrested". A big question mark is left there as to what exactly happened.  Without the actual facts as to what happened, it easily changes from a story to a propoganda peice. That's not good journalism, that's sensationalism regardless of how it actually went down. And I'm not saying they didn't beat him just for the fun of it, but the story's intent seems rather obvious when key facts are left out.
