I saw the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still," it was an okay movie I thought, but I can fully understand why people were dissapointed with it, even to a point where someone might say it's not a very good movie. Then I got a question running through my mind, what movie shouldn't be remade no matter who gets the rights to do it?
The first single movie that comes to my mind is "A Clockwork Orange," since the message the movie portrays, I think, just wouldn't resonate with today's audience and I don't think anyone could really do any justice to the original. In terms of movies with a certain star, I say any Charlie Chaplin movie because these movies are classic because they are silent movies, and every one of Chaplins' characters are supposed to be ones who the audience could be able to relate to.
So what movies do you think shouldn't be remade no matter what?
