And is making absolutes any better? You know it's not the "only" application of the comment. Some fans of games with great graphics don't care that the game has great graphics (in the sense of numerical benchmarks, not art direction). They just want to have fun.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
