I consider the articles view more geared towards an entry level gamer looking at what is most cost effective to play games. The items listed are a primary reason why the 360 is outselling the PS3. If you want to play games, and you take into consideration that the majority of the top selling games this Gen are multi-platform, than the easy choice is the 360.

If all I want to do is play RE5, GTA, Dead Space, Devil May Cry, ect. and my choices are (360- $199 + game cost), or (PS3 $399 + game cost), I will go 360. Especially considering that for the $200 difference in console price I can probably get 3-4 of the games I want to play. That doesnt even take into consideration the cheap cost of older quality used titles.

If you are interesting in the features and exclusives of a particular console, the buying choice is dependent on those particular interests. But for a gamer, looking to just play games, this article is not too far off.
