Well, a large portion of the people within Sony who made the Playstation and PS2 successful no longer are involved with the PS3 in a large part because of how poorly they handed the PSP and PS3 ...
Its like Sports, when a team wins a championship few people question how the team is managed; but when that (formerly championship) team makes a bunch of questionable trades which break with their successful strategy and don't make the playoffs few people don't question how the team is managed.
