I guess they feel proud to be 'part' of one those multinational faceless corporations..cracks me up everytime someone says "gooo Sony" or "gooo MS", "my system is better than yours STFU" etc etc..
I just like these systems, but it stops there, you won´t see me rooting for something that doesn´t even know or care I exist.
