Nice write up, I can relate to it. Although I first had a 360, before getting a PS3.
My first impression of the 360 was,"that's one freaking power supply unit", "why is this cable so rigid" and "why does my 360 sound like my vacuum cleaner?". 
But it's a good console overall, at least if it wouldn't have broken on me.
