Manufacturer or "extended" warranty cannot limit the legal warranty, the PS3's minimal life expectance is at least 3 years (for other products this may be 2). If there are no signs of abuse, abnormal usages, etc you can hold the dealer into account for taking care of these issues totally free of charge. It then regards a "faulty product".

The laws in the Netherlands are more extensive regarding warranty than in other countries, for many products legal warranty can last for many more years. Legal warranty is based on minimal normal life expectance.

The article talks about costumers being lured into buying the 3 year extended warranty without knowing that they have 2 years by EU law. This is further proven if you bothered to read the comments about the article too where several poster pointed out the same explanation as I just did.

No where did it mention a 3 year warranty existing in the netherlans for their products.

f you bothered to read through all of your own thread you will have seen another user doughted me too but he made his resarch and came back and posted the ling to the Eu directive which proved me right and you wrong.

Somebody should report you and if you don´t stop this bullshit, lying and spreading missinformation you should be permabanned, because there are actually people here beliving you and you are deciving them wich further fuels the trolling and falming on this site.
