I haven't watched it on DVD, but "Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut" on Bluray is GORGEOUS IMO (I'm not a expert or fanboy on these things though so my opinion doesn't hold a lot of weight).
It's awesome when you can see the tiny and elegant carvings on the helmets of the Muslim soldiers. The grit, blood, broken pieces of chainmail, sweat, and pores really make you get a feeling that you're face to face with the people fighting. The sand, flowing fabric, city scenes, smoke from incense, etc is awesome.
You get the point, it was eye candy for me =)
