While I agree this would be excellent, the trouble with micro-payments is that when you decide you want DLC which only costs 50c, Visa/Mastercard/etc... is going to charge their fee for the transaction which Sony/MS/Nintendo aren't going to absorb so now your 50c transaction is going to cost you a $1.50 instead.
