Why does Sony refuse to advertise properly?

For instance, in the San Francisco Giants games, behind the pitcher I always see the advertisement of "MLB The Show 09, The most Realistic BaseBall game ever Only On Playstation." Also on the Scoreboard of the Giants, theres a huge Playstation sign. For the New York Yankees new stadium, there's a Playstation Room there.

Another instance is that in the San Jose Sharks games [#1 in Hockey], right now they are in the playoffs and they have a Playstation 3 advert where the players are. Also in the end of the game, they ALWAYS say "Todays Sony Playstation 3 Player of the game is..."

Have you guys even see the massive ads of Killzone 2 in Toronto? There was a lot.

Finally, if you guys go to www.mlb.com, you can see all the ads of MLB The Show 09. They also play the ad of MLB The Show 09 constantly on ESPN.

Ads don't always have to be on TV.

 

I don't think any of us are saying that they DON'T advertise.  What most of us are getting at when they do advertise its useually bad.  A lot of people don't like sports or never goto the games.  While I do that doesn't mean that the majority of people do.
