Japanese take western concepts that were given up on and capitalize on it. American car companies destroyed their chance to be the most advanced car makers. They had the patents for quick, soundless and emissionless electric car, but they fucked it up because the oil companies bought the patents, forcing us the depend on oil. America of all the western nations is one of the most internally sabotaged places from within because a small group of greedy people who tell us what we can and cannot buy. they still had to compete average mileage of japanese cars and reliability still way ahead american cars, GM may even disappear in 5 years.
