What did everyone forget about Alone in the Dark on the PC?
Christ if you tried to leave the building you had this big ass eye staring at you! ugh. I almost shat myself. A lot of the older PC games were much scarier.
PS1 and on ERA I have yet to play a game scarier then the first Silent Hill or Fatal Frame 1/2.
It's just that simple.
