This is probably one of the worst gaming generations of all time for Sony.

People really don't care what Sony has to offer in regards to software. What always made the PS consoles great was the 3rd party exclusives. But since the PS3 launched for so much they sold less units and  developers had to go else where to peddle their games. If a Playstation console relied on Sony games alone they wouldn't have a chance in hell of being successful.

 

Okay, lets just ignore Sony's MASSIVE first party resources and the great games they constantly pump out....

The 3rd party games has been main attraction for Sony since the PS1. The first party games are just the gravy.

Don't you think a lot of the big franchises being released on the 360 is having a huge impact on sales?
