i agree with johnlucas think about it if nintendo had left hte market after the gamecube i know alot of people that would not have bought a gaming system at all. so instead of a total of almost 30 million consoles sold this gen your looking at maybe 15-20 million sold in a two year span wiht sales being extremely low.
the thing is if you take out the nes pc gaming would still be a "fad" and no one would be playing videogames.
leo-j i recall you saying without sony there would be no KH? well s-e made KH, squaresoft was made a popular company with final fantasy on teh nes, so without nes squaresoft would not exist cause it would die cause their previous games before final fantasy bombed really bad. teh only developer that kinda survived the crash was EA even on any videogame site or tv channel will say without the nes videogaming would've died back int eh mid 80's. and i agree
