"Pirate Bay draws in 20 million per year"
2008-01-31 | Published 13:46 | Updated 2008-02-06, 12:17

The Pirate Bay can withdraw nearly 20 million per year. "Imagination sums," says the 29-year-old founder of the police.
In February 2006 will be the revenues of advertising on The Pirate Bay have been 32 $ 499 and March 46 $ 815.75. Everything under the correspondence between the 29-year-old founder and an intermediary for the ads, Daniel Oded. It appears from the investigation protocol, which today became public.

However, it is unclear which of the different countries, The Pirate Bay sites referred to.

Oded Daniel is working according to several media at the Israeli company Target Point which specializes in arranging ads on the hunt pirates sites.

In the same email stated that the Swedish NGM-listed company Eastpoint, which handles ad sales for the site in Scandinavia, estimates that revenue for two months will be 40 $ 000, "that is, USD 72 499.01 and 86 815.75 USD" writes contact at Eastpoint.

The four accused in The Pirate Bay case has always insisted that they do not earn much money from advertisers on the site. Instead, it is ideological reasons - a liberal view of copyright - that drives them.

But in the interview with a police confronted 29-year-old with data showing how the idea of leasing space to advertisers at The Pirate Bay made the site went from a hemmabyggarprojekt to genenerera millions of dollars.

In one of the emails mentioned that the site had 10.5 million pageviews May 29, 2006 and that annual ad revenue would be 3 one million U.S. dollars or nearly 20 million.

"Pirate Bay drar in 20 miljoner per år"
2008-01-31 | Publicerad 13:46  |  Uppdaterad 2008-02-06, 12:17

The Pirate Bay kan dra in nära 20 miljoner kronor per år.

Now you are using the propaganda that the police offocer on the case wrote you know the same guy that worked for Hollywood representants and while some of it are true do you honestly think that it´s that cheap to run an tracker that is as big as piratbays? and don´t forget that investors also get payed from this money thats how they get their investment back from the various projects the invested in with the PB folk involved.

Again I ask you why all the donAnd don´t forget that investors gets payed to from this money!ations if they had the money when they needed to upgrade?

On another note do you think they would even bother showing up to the trial if they had acces to all those millions when they could be in some country with no extrediction and continue to rake in the money?

Yes, they probably have big expenses, but why do I hav to assume that they dont make much profit when at the same time people accuse the film and music industry for making big money off of their revenues - what if the film and music industry have big expenses too? TPB could very well make say a 30% profit margin off those hundred of thousands of Dollars in revenue for what we know, like any business.

And I posted that because vlad accused me om lying.

Yes ofcourse both sides have expenses but the industry needs to change and TPB is making that possible, hell they even offered a new way to distribute the movies legally by paying for the downloads with advertisement and a very small fee but guess what hollywood said to that?

A big fat NO, thay have had their chance to conform but declined and now they suffer the consequenses it´s their own fault and all TPB has done is offering a free tracker for use to use and they are going after them for it.

I could agree that they maybe should chase PB some but not without no effort to stop the uploaders wich is where the problem lies and even more important they need to shut the holes in their own lines, the movies or gmes wouldn´t be out there if their own people didn´t release it. The movies/games/music doesn´t magicly appear on PB they are leaked by the industry themselves.

Another example is the movie The man from earth wich got known through DL sites and got pretty good sales for an indie movie and the maker of the movie actually went publicly and thanked the torrent community for this because without it his movie would never have been discovered and I would never have seen it and it´s a hell of a good movie which I recomend to any movie buff out there.
