Yes, they probably have big expenses, but why do I hav to assume that they dont make much profit when at the same time people accuse the film and music industry for making big money off of their revenues - what if the film and music industry have big expenses too? TPB could very well make say a 30% profit margin off those hundred of thousands of Dollars in revenue for what we know, like any business. |
Yes ofcourse both sides have expenses but the industry needs to change and TPB is making that possible, hell they even offered a new way to distribute the movies legally by paying for the downloads with advertisement and a very small fee but guess what hollywood said to that?
A big fat NO, thay have had their chance to conform but declined and now they suffer the consequenses it´s their own fault and all TPB has done is offering a free tracker for use to use and they are going after them for it.
I could agree that they maybe should chase PB some but not without no effort to stop the uploaders wich is where the problem lies and even more important they need to shut the holes in their own lines, the movies or gmes wouldn´t be out there if their own people didn´t release it. The movies/games/music doesn´t magicly appear on PB they are leaked by the industry themselves.
Another example is the movie The man from earth wich got known through DL sites and got pretty good sales for an indie movie and the maker of the movie actually went publicly and thanked the torrent community for this because without it his movie would never have been discovered and I would never have seen it and it´s a hell of a good movie which I recomend to any movie buff out there.
