Sony has it's big time FPS in KillZone 2. MAG is also coming out which is FPS and dwarfs Resistance's multiplayer online capabilities.
It's obvious that this franchise needs some sort of change. My suggestion: Turn it into a cover-based Third Person Shooter a la Gears of War. |
RFOM was a launch title (little else was available, therefore big sales) and was bundled heavily. Of course it has sold much better than R2.
R2 was an extremely accomplished affair with incredible 8 player coop campaign. The series does not need a change. Just a successful third title.
